as Acres Golf & Country Club in Abu Dhabi has just received 45 new Club Car golf carts equipped with Connect GPS that provide accurate distance to the pin as well as a host of other features.
The arrival of the new fleet of carts at the 9-hole facility, which opened last December, will be welcomed by golfers previously required to carry their own bags or use a trolley. With summer temperatures often reaching 40°C, the carts, equipped with coolers for drinks, will also help provide shade and allow golfers to focus on playing their best golf.
The carts are painted in a dark green color to blend in with the natural environment and are equipped with speed limiters to keep all players safe in crowded and crowded areas.
James Durkin, Golf Operations Manager at Yas Acres Golf & Country Club, said of the club’s acquisition of some of the industry’s most advanced golf carts: “We are delighted to receive our fleet of carts and add value to our members and guests experience. Whilst we have seen a fantastic response to ‘walking alone’ during our soft opening, we recognize that we are quickly approaching the summer months and a golf cart is a necessity to get the most out of this fantastic 9 hole course.

Durkin continued: “From now on, the cart fee will be included in the green fee price, and as we come out of the summer season, we will give golfers the option to walk during off-peak hours so golfers can continue on. to enjoy the health benefits that many have enjoyed. The fleet’s vehicles are equipped with all the amenities you would expect, including the latest GPS system via Club Car Connect that allows all golfers to view distances with pinpoint accuracy.
