Education Minister Dipu Moni said that no teacher can teach the students of his class in the coaching center. He said that teaching students of his own class in coaching centers have already been legally prohibited.
This was said by the Education Minister to journalists after the opening ceremony of the BCB Councilor Cup T20 Cricket Tournament organized at Chandpur Stadium on Friday morning.
The education minister said that sometimes students need some coaching. Because preparation is needed for different types of exams in the country and abroad. Besides, the number of students in classrooms is very high in most educational institutions of the country. There are many times it is not possible for the teacher to pay attention to every student. Many people may fall back a bit. In many homes, parents are working so there is no one to help them in their studies. Sometimes coaching may be needed in that case. Therefore, it has been said to arrange coaching based on educational institutions as an alternative. However, it is unethical to force one to study at home or in a coaching center without teaching in one’s class. Failure to do so may result in the student failing or giving low marks, which is absolutely unethical. It is prohibited by law.
At that time, Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of Police Md. Milan Mahmud, BCB director and former national cricket team captain Akram Khan, Chandpur Municipality Mayor Zillur Rahman etc.
Shahrasti Cricket Academy won by seven wickets against Sandeep Cricket Academy on the opening day of this tournament in association with the Cricketers Welfare Association Chandpur District Branch. A total of 24 teams of the country are participating in the tournament. Later, Dipu Moni joined the Science Fair organized by Science Club at Hasan Ali Government High School, Chandpur.
